A Megrendelő a kaliforniai élet jellemzőit, a friss óceáni levegőt és a sok napfényt szerette volna kihangsúlyozni, ezek gyönyörűségeit kihasználni a tervezés során. A tulajdonos egy egyedi, modern, de mégis kényelmes és jól funkcionáló lakóteret képzelt el és ennek kialakítására bízott meg.

A ház nagyon érdekes és különleges építészeti elemekkel rendelkezik. Ezeket az elemeket és a természet gyönyörűségét figyelembe véve alakítottam ki a tereket. A felső, bejárati szinten a nappaliban és az abból nyíló kilátásban gyönyörködhetünk. A meleg tónusú bambusz padlóburkolat egyszerű és letisztult modern bútorokkal lett kombinálva. A nappali egybe nyílik az egyszerű, de fehérségével mégis nagyon elegáns konyhával, amihez a fehér, magas fényű étkező bútorok is remekül passzolnak. Tolóajtókon keresztül nyílik tovább a lélegzetelállító teraszra a tér, amely egy felülmúlhatatlan kilátást biztosít mind a kertre és medencére, mind a Csendes Óceánra.

A nappaliból lépcsőházon keresztül lehet az alsó lakó szintre lemenni, itt találhatóak a hálószobák és fürdők, valamint a mozi és játszó szoba is. Ezen a szinten sokkal kevesebb fényt kap a ház, mivel a ház alapja a hegyoldalban lett kialakítva. Ezekben a hálószobákban élénkebb színű, nagyobb mintájú, egyedi tervezésű és nyomtatású tapétákat alkalmaztam a kevesebb fény kompenzálására.

This incredible contemporary house sits overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles. The property is located right over the beaches of Santa Monica, and the owners of this amazing home wanted to capture the true Californian lifestyle, and allow the sea breeze and the sunlight to fill the house with life.

The concept of the design revolves around the natural elements of light and air. The owners envisioned a family home with plenty of space for a large family. The upper entry level welcomes the visitor in a grand living room with some amazing architectural elements. This level not only consists of the large living room and a beautiful open concept kitchen and dining area, it also allows guests to stay in a guest room with the most incredible view of the ocean waves. As we open the sliding doors to the large upper balcony, the freshness of the air transcends into every corner of the house. The designer used crisp high gloss furniture and kitchen cabinets combined with some earth tones to complement the bamboo flooring. There is also an office and a guest bath on this level.

As we access the lower level via the magnificently designed staircase, the house opens up to the entertainment area and the pool deck as well as the backyard. The carefully selected outdoor seating allows the guests to relax and enjoy the year- around sunshine. On this level we can find the master bedroom and 4 other bedrooms as well as the entertainment room. The lower level is partially under ground, and I had to work around much less light in the back of the house. To bring some colors and interest, the designer installed custom printed wallpapers to accent some walls.
